Factual “real” catwalks, “real” catwalk films, authenticity, life, stronger than the health crisis… For the transalpine brands, the Milan Spring-Summer 2021 fashion week was the occasion to remember that Italian fashion is a big family, and the Lombard capital, its eternal epicenter.

This season, at Milan fashion week, when Gucci and Bottega Veneta were missing and many brands preferred to concoct a digital presentation, several big names in Italian fashion decided to parade (almost) as if to nothing was, in front of an audience admittedly small (we went on average from a thousand to a hundred guests) but very present.The service broadcast live could be followed on the Web.This is the formula that have chosen Fendi, Etro, Valentino, Salvatore Ferragamo, Dolce & Gabbana, No 21 or even Max Mara.
Brands have sent their guests - virtual - some confectionery or Italian pasta as if to promote immersion.
For all those who could not reach the Lombard capital, this fashion week was therefore lived 100% “online.” Very few French people made the trip, in particular due to a new health measure: a negative PCR test, dated less than seventy-two hours, required at Milan airport for travelers from France.On the screen, apart from the public, masked, seen in the back -plan, nothing seems to have changed.It almost seems like it, especially since the brands (Ferragamo, Fendi and Valentino, for example) have sent their guests - virtual - some confectionery or Italian pasta as if to promote the 'immersion…
